In the ORBX/FTX - PFJ Patch 001 (link here), Bill Womack has added many of the United States Forestry Service Cabins and Holger Sandmann has carefully placed them in the exact locations. Also all 12 lighthouses are now faithfully represented by this update. All cabins and lighthouses are authentic. Each location is linked to its real life counterpart on the web. The "Structure Location" is the exact lat/long for the structure in FSX. The "Mooring (start) Position" is the lat/long for a safe place to start a flight or a cruise, usually near the mooring or just offshore from a lighthouse.

NOTAM: See Special Comments for other information on this package. Plan-G updates for the Lighthouses and the Cabins (CSV FILES) can be found at the top of the Map Room.

Below are the lighthouses and lightstations that are faithfully represented by the PFJ Service Pack 1 update. Clicking on the "location name" will take you to the "Friends of the Lighthouse" page for that location. Each has a gps position for the actual structure and a gps setting for the "mooring" or probably starting point. As you visit each lighthouse, go to the Friends of the Lighthouse site and read about each. There are some fascinating stories about their histories. USFS Missing Shelter Comments: All of the cabins are position exactly where they reside in the real world. The two exceptions are the Shelters: Nooya Lake and Punchbowl Lake. Exact locations for these could not be found so they were intentionally left out of the Service Pack 1 update. We have located a close proximity of them, however. So to complete the set, you can download these two shelters by clicking HERE initiating a zip download. Use the "readme" included with each to install them. They are both in the same package. They will be, we belive, within 50 yards of the actual position.

FSDiscover! Database: All of the above locations have been added to a special "dat" file for FSDiscover this and the "dat" file for over 400 special Misty Fjords locations and features (USFS Cabins and Lighthouses) are available at the top of the MAP ROOM.

Flying Misty - In the Air!

(G) Maps and (F) Flights: Looking at the Plan-G (G) map will give you a rough idea where the structure is located. If you use the Flight Plan (F), you will see the route on a gps and can either follow the route or take a shortcut of your choice. These routes are not meant for boats, only planes, as they use islands for waypoints. Remember, you can get both the "lighthouse" and "cabins" dat files from the Map Room. These add all of these to your Plan-G Program. If you have FSDiscover! the "Misty Cabins" dat file can also be found in the Map Room.

Cruising Misty - On the Water!

(S) Sail Plans and (C) Charts: We are adding an "on the water" aspect to Return to Misty Moorings. We are developing "sail plans" that are safe boating gps routes and "charts"of PLAN-G maps to see the cruise. (The first one of these is for Phocena Bay, you will notice the "S" and "C" at that listing above. "S" downloads the gps route (flight plan) and "C" will either download a detailed Cruise Plan or a Simple Map of the route.
